Description
We are seeking a Community Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our East Mental Health & Wellness Team (MHWT-E), based at Beam Park Health Centre. This is a full-time, permanent post with 10 Programmed Activities (PAs) and 7.5 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC).
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to adults with mental health needs. You will provide senior medical support to the team, direct input on clinical cases, and guidance and supervision to the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising and prioritising own and others' workload
- Deputising for the team manager when required
- Providing accurate records for audit purposes
- Ensuring effective risk management at team level
- Acting as an autonomous, registered practitioner
- Assessing and developing care plans for patients with complex needs
- Initiating referrals to other health professional specialist services and agencies
- Providing patients and relatives with information and education
The postholder will be part of the Senior Psychiatrist on-call rota covering out of hours and weekends for Mental Health Services in NELFT.
This post requires CCT or equivalent, Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it, and Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it.
In return, we offer a salary of £113,565 to £150,569 per year.
