Description
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Barclays, located in Pune, Gera Commerzone SEZ. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and improving software that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and optimal performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and share knowledge with peers.
- Stay updated on industry technology trends and innovations, contributing to the organisation's technology communities to foster technical excellence and growth.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Requirements:
- Experience with OpenShift Cloud and Virtual Machines, Security Scanning Tools (Sonar, WIZ, PRISMA), IBM MQ, Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Gitlab CI/CD pipeline, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenTelemetry.
- Knowledge of ELK/Observe.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure Patterns, Security around Infrastructure, Prometheus, Grafana, Chef, or Ansible is highly valued.
