Customer Delivery Driver

As a Customer Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, you will be responsible for delivering customer orders to their doorsteps. You will be the face of Sainsbury's at every doorstep, providing a thoughtful, friendly, and helpful delivery service.

Your main duties will include:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers on time and in great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean, and organised, and that customers' shopping is secure before setting off
• Following planned routes and driving safely in a variety of locations, traffic, weather, and road conditions
• Moving containers weighing up to 15kg and delivering shopping to a variety of properties
• Communicating with customers, including keeping them informed of any delays, dealing with customer queries, and any changes to their order

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Be friendly and welcoming, with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
• Be comfortable driving a larger vehicle safely in different locations
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment
• Be able to use initiative, solve problems, and make safe decisions while out on the road
• Be open to learning, developing, and trying new things to improve our service
