Description
We are seeking a Project Officer/Construction Manager in New York City to support our client, the School Construction Authority (SCA).
You will provide administration and coordination for the design and construction of complex and highly visible projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring quality and compliance in design and construction
- Making timely decisions to expedite project completion
- Managing project scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinating with contractors, construction managers, and local school personnel
- Providing guidance to lower-level Project Officers
- Resolving issues and problems raised in field reports
- Working with architects/engineers on change orders and contract documents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- 5-7 years of experience in a construction-related field, with 2 years of experience managing construction projects
- Driver's license valid in New York State
Preferred qualifications:
- P.E. License
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering
- CEI or IAEI Electrical Inspection Certificate
