Description
WSP is seeking a full-time Principle Assistant Resident Engineer for their San Bernardino or Irvine, California office.
The Principle Assistant Resident Engineer provides technical leadership for complex construction management projects, serving as an assistant to the Resident Engineer supervising construction engineering and inspection activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise for construction management projects
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising construction engineering and inspection activities
- Conduct meetings with contractors, owners, and other project stakeholders
- Inspect and document construction materials and activities
- Analyze construction costs and draft change orders
- Prepare constructability reviews and reports
- Supervise field inspection and office personnel
- Represent projects at meetings and conferences
Requirements:
- BSCE or related degree
- Current California PE license
- Minimum 10 years of experience, with 5 years as a lead worker
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards
- Valid CA driver's license
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with railroads
Compensation and Benefits:
- Expected salary: $163,700 - $243,200
