Description
We are seeking a Welder, Combination, Maintenance to work on a waterfront shipboard construction and re-modernization project, working within shipyards and drydocks onboard U.S. Naval ships.
The successful candidate will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter performing tasks such as:
- Applying appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other materials that require welding
- Working from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts, or work orders
- Laying out and marking points on parts or subassemblies using rule, square, scribe or templates
- Using measuring instruments and hand tools to position pieces that require welding into jigs, holding fixtures, guides, and steps
- Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications
- Performing all work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Participating in special projects, as required
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $42.07 - $56.93.
