Description
As a qualified and experienced clinical physiologist in the field of neurophysiology, working at a centre of excellence, you will provide a first-class service with patient-centred care and appropriate planning and use of complex neurophysiological studies.
You will be working as an integral part of a team of 7 clinical physiologists, with supervisory responsibilities for more junior members of staff. In addition, you should be able to work independently with respect to both performing tests and troubleshooting equipment/recording problems.
The team sees adult patients (typically aged 17+ years, occasionally 15/16 years) with a range of neurological and/or neuropsychiatric conditions. Much of the work is for comprehensive diagnostic assessment of patients with paroxysmal events, including loss of awareness/consciousness, convulsive movements, or altered behaviour.
The department encourages CPD and active participation in research and audit projects.
