Description
We are seeking a Systems Software Engineer - "C" to join our team. As a Hybrid role, you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
As a Systems Software Engineer, you will design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for software enhancements and new products. You will work on operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
Responsibilities:
- Design limited enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software
- Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required
- Execute and write portions of testing plans, protocols, and documentation
- Participate as a member of a project team to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions
- Collaborate and communicate with internal and outsourced development partners
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Typically 2-4 years of experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Using software systems design tools and languages
- Working experience with C Programming
- Basic Python advantageous
- Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
- Designing software systems running on multiple platform types
- Software systems testing methodology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
