The Material Handler is required to safely support the North American Operations Rochester, PA Manufacturing facility by safely operating equipment to manufacture and ship Valvoline products. Work in an ever-changing, fast-paced, team environment.
This Material Handler position offers a Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:00pm schedule but must show a willingness to work overtime with little or no notice.
Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor and operate packaging equipment
- Prepare customer shipments by picking products from one pallet and moving to other pallets
- Operate forklifts
- Use scanning equipment to receive/move packaged raw materials and finished product
- Safety training and general safety awareness
- General housekeeping
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You'll Need:
- HS diploma or GED equivalent
- Manufacturing and/or warehousing, machine operation experience
- Forklift certification
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft and SAP
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in manufacturing environment
- Must be able to build relationships with other employees in the facility, contractors and 3rd parties
- Proactively identifies improvements to processes and systems
- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Good physical condition as job requires walking, climbing, lifting 50 lbs. as well as prolonged standing and use of applicable safety equipment.
- Environment: Mostly indoors in manufacturing portion of facility but may also be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
