Description
We are seeking a Senior Consultant - Design Management to support our design and project management process in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
The successful candidate will assist in the coordination and administration of project activities across all phases of the project, provide administrative support, facilitate communication, and ensure that project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and coordination of the design process
- Assist in recording design change processes and implementing effective protocols
- Understand the obligations to a project necessary to fulfil the scope of service agreement under the direction of the UK Design Manager
- Have knowledge and experience of design management processes including defined project lifecycle frameworks
- Support the UK Design Manager in providing leadership to a design process
- Assist in the assessment of performance metrics using tools and procedures
- Contribute to Design Management processes
- Operate independently, planning and prioritising own work
- Contribute to the design management strategy for assigned projects
- Assist in setting up the design management plan for assigned projects and monitor progress
- Provide support to project control functions
- Compile and maintain accurate deliverables
- Identify and highlight threats to progress and scope of service obligations
- Work with WSP values to ensure compliance with corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements
Qualifications:
- 9+ years of experience in a similar role
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Internationally recognised English language qualification
- Ability to analyse information and assemble into a meaningful document
- Capable of managing, recording, and prioritising own business activities
- Responsive to change and accurately record and communicate variations
- Comfortable with receiving instructions and accepting personal responsibility
- Understands the criticality of providing support to an overseas manager
- Conversant with Microsoft software
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in Design Management
- Commercial awareness
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Routinely able to work to tight deadlines for UK and international projects
- Comfortable working independently and highly self-motivated
- Able to communicate across time zones effectively
