As an Intern Student at SelectHealth, you will gain work experience that can be applied to future career goals. The work experience and projects are related to your field of study and support SelectHealth's mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in various projects that support the needs of the department/facility
- Work with team members to identify solutions and perform tasks that accomplish individual and team goals
- Attend team/department meetings and actively participate/share knowledge and skills
- Gain knowledge of the department's/facility's functions by job shadowing various roles
- Work on assigned projects, demonstrating understanding of the process and accountability for results/outcomes
- Provide staff operational/clerical support to the department/facility as needed
Requirements:
- Concurrently enrolled in and progressing through an education program in a related field of study
- Demonstrated proficiency in knowledge and skills in the field directly related to the intern opportunity
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Organisation skills, detail-oriented, and ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to consistently maintain a good rapport and positive demeanor with employees and customers
- Initiative and willingness to take on additional assignments when needed
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
