Description

You will join Logitech's rapidly growing C4C engineering Team as the Optical Engineering expert focused on Keyboards and Mice.

In this role, you will define optical specifications, select LED components, design light pipes, drive joint-development projects with external ODM/JDM partners, lead optical EVT testing, and ensure technical excellence from concept through mass production.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of new products, platforms, and technologies, bringing innovations and new ideas in terms of technology.
  • Scout and evaluate new technologies, concepts, systems, or components based on performance, quality, reliability, risk, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Design and qualify optical and sensing solutions from concept to manufacturing for C&P products, meeting cost, schedule, and user experience.
  • Develop tools and setups to measure or characterize optical and sensing systems.
  • Work with ODM/JDM for product design and development.
  • Collaborate with multi-competence engineering functions in a global environment.
  • Apply system engineering skills and partner with a cross-functional team, especially ME, EE, and ESW.
  • Collaborate with factories to ensure smooth and efficient mass production.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry, such as camera and display.
  • Experience in designing optical lighting systems.
  • Experience in LED engineering.
  • Experience in color engineering.
  • Experience in reliability engineering.
  • Experience in optical measurement.
  • Experience in engineering methodologies (SPC, FMEA, Statistical Tolerance Analysis, DOE, GR&R, and 8D).
  • Efficiently create reports/syntheses on complex cross-functional topics.
  • Fast learning, self-motivated with good priorities and time management skills.
  • Autonomous, reliable, team, and system-oriented.
  • Curious and explores new technology.
  • Excellent communication skills with high fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • Solid exposure in multicultural working environment.
  • Availability to travel.

Preferred skills:

  • Familiarity with C/C++/C#/Matlab/Python.
  • Experience in developing sensing systems (e.g., optical navigation sensor, image sensor, PPG sensor, IMU).
  • Experience with interfaces like USB/SPI/I2C/UART.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • EE Experience: 5+ years of hands-on optical development experience in consumer electronics, with a focus on Imaging Technology or Display Technology.
