The geriatric medicine team at Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) is expanding and we are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Geriatrician to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for a locum consultant colleague to join our GEMINI team, which uses an evidence-based approach to develop services integrating medicine for the elderly into acute medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and the community.
The GEMINI team currently supports the management of patients in ED, frailty SDEC, and in-patient elderly care wards. We are now expanding this provision to run a frailty SDEC 7 days a week with direct admissions from GP referrals and SeCAMB.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the development of this service, ensuring alignment with the emerging neighbourhood model and future increases in community geriatric provision.
