Description
GSK is seeking a Site Procurement Manager to lead the procurement function at a manufacturing site in Marietta, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with GSK's policies and procedures.
The Site Procurement Manager will partner with the local site team to drive and support procurement delivery across all dimensions. They will lead the alignment with the Site Leadership Team, ensure site business needs and priorities are well understood and supported, and contribute to the strategic management of key suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and proposing long-term plans to improve procurement processes
- Implementing global procurement processes, policies, and guidelines locally
- Managing interfaces between procurement and the site
- Ensuring site requirements are taken into account within the definition and implementation of global category strategies
- Leading the procurement function at the site, including direct, manufacturing indirects, and capex
- Developing and managing the site supply base to meet GSK's requirements
- Reducing costs and improving efficiency
The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of operational procurement experience, knowledge of procurement tools, and demonstrated team leadership and motivation skills. They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to work in a matrix business environment.
