Description
We are seeking a MEP CAD Lead to join our team in London or Birmingham. As part of the UK Stations Strategy, we aim to grow our Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) CAD team to deliver our expanding portfolio of projects and clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing 3D and 2D MEP designs for High Speed-2 Stations and Railway Systems, London Underground, Overground and Network Rail Station projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Using Bentley MicroStation and OpenBuildings to model 3D MEP services
- Producing 2D sections from 3D models for incorporation into drawings
- Carrying out CAD modelling to the appropriate level of detail
- Completing design coordination with other design disciplines
- Working with the project team to ensure the design process maximises data exchange across multiple software platforms
- Providing support to the engineering team in the review of the design data
Requirements:
- Experience with multiple software platforms, including Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings and ProjectWise
- Understanding of BIM and working within a Common Data Environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft software applications, including writing macros to undertake complex or repetitive calculations
- Qualification with HNC/HND (minimum) in Civil Engineering or relevant experience
