Description
As a Night Manager at Asda, you will manage and lead the night team to ensure the store runs smoothly while the rest of the world sleeps. You will be responsible for delivering the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments, ensuring the store remains safe and legal for customers and colleagues.
You will work a rolling rota and 4 nights over 7, including weekend working, and be solely responsible for the store through the night. You will need to be confident in overseeing operations as a whole, as the store is open 24 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive strategy into action: Plan and execute all trading activity on the shopfloor during the night shift, ensuring delivery is date rotated and waste and returns are managed correctly.
- Lead with impact: Lead and coach night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent shopfloor standards, creating a culture of selling customers with personality and serving with heart and pride.
- Execution-focused: Ensure the shopfloor is landed and presentable for customers before handing over to the day team.
- Talent Development: Listen with empathy, drive resilience, and encourage ownership, focus, and passion for the business.
Requirements:
- Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
- Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
- Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
