CVS Health is transforming health care by making it more accessible, convenient, and compassionate. As a District Support Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy, acting as a role model, and demonstrating genuine care for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
- Travel to fill pharmacist shifts, oversee pharmacy operations, and serve as a proxy for the Pharmacy Manager
- Support safe prescription fulfillment, ensure accurate labeling, and direct the pharmacy team accordingly
- Assume day-to-day duties of the Pharmacy Manager when serving as the primary pharmacist-on-duty
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the pharmacy team
- Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy
- Support effective management of pharmacy inventory and protect cold chain products
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while maintaining a safe and inclusive team dynamic
- Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs
- Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care
- Understand and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles
Requirements:
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
