Description
We are seeking a Food and Guest Service Representative to join our team at Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center.
As a Food and Guest Service Representative, you will perform a variety of food and guest service duties under general supervision. Your responsibilities will vary by facility need and may include patient meal tray assembly and delivery, cashier duties, food assembly and serving, and cleaning.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering and presenting trays to patients using the standard process
- Preparing food according to system standards, including assembling ingredients for salads, sandwiches, vegetables, and fruit
- Following standardised practices for Nutrition Services, such as maintaining required stock levels and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Performing housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitising surfaces, floor care, and equipment maintenance
- Processing cash and credit transactions accurately and resolving basic customer service issues independently
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification (required in Utah and Idaho)
- Demonstrated ability to work with modified diets (preferred)
- Excellent customer service skills (preferred)
In terms of physical requirements, you should be able to:
- See and read information, labels, and monitors
- Communicate effectively with customers and understand spoken information
- Manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy
- Lift and transport equipment, supplies, and heavy items
- Remain standing for long periods and tolerate extreme temperatures
