Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral, has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join their dynamic and experienced hospitality team working on an as and when basis to help cover sickness and annual leave in their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and delivery of a high standard of food and beverage service to patients, visitors, consultants, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages
- Serve food to staff, consultants, visitors, and patients in the restaurant and wards
- Engage with patients to raise awareness of the availability of a food and beverage service
- Take orders from customers, adhering to special dietary requirements
- Maintain adequate control of all stock
- Adhere to statutory regulations and health and safety procedures
- Undertake general cleaning and washing up duties
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a catering role
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Excellent customer care skills
- Ability to work without supervision
- Caring and sympathetic
- Ability to work evenings and possibly some weekends
- Able to work flexible hours
