Salesforce AI is seeking an Applied Research Engineer to join our team. As an Applied Research Engineer, you will work alongside Research Scientists to bring models to life and transform research breakthroughs into stable, secure, and production-ready applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with motivated and talented research engineers to bring cutting-edge theory into customer-facing practice.
- Develop tools and pipelines to support machine learning and artificial intelligence efforts.
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain production services such as APIs, user interfaces, agentic evaluators, and more.
- Implement scalable cloud architectures.
- Assist with end-user requirements gathering and executive presentations.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Python and Linux, with some experience in React.
- Experience with production cloud deployments, such as AWS or GCP, with Kubernetes being a plus.
- Ability to debug full-stack deployments in a production environment.
- Solid understanding of security principles and best practices.
- User interface and graphic design sensibilities are advantageous.
- Author high-quality, low-cognitive-load, fully-tested code with and without AI assistance.
