Description
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our global finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all invoices and travel expenses are properly approved and processed in accordance with agreed-upon standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Verify and process invoices and expenses accurately
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records
- Support payment runs and reconcile supplier accounts
- Manage and maintain supplier accounts
- Administer the accounts payable email inbox
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed
- Identify recurring issues and escalate to senior team members, suggesting process improvements
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and expense controls
- High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
- Proactive and curious approach to identifying process problems and driving improvements
- Strong organisational skills and pragmatic problem-solving approach
- Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and fluent English and German language skills
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Familiarity with systems such as Elite 3E, Basware, Emburse, or large ERP systems like Oracle Fusion, SAP, or Workday
- Experience supporting process improvement or automation initiatives
