Description
The Operations Control Specialist, Applied AI/ML role is part of the Operations & Middle Office team at Millennium, a global alternative investment firm.
The team works across departments and regions to drive continuous improvement, focusing on streamlining processes, strengthening controls, and improving data quality.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with various teams to map workflows, identify areas for AI impact, and prioritize use cases
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent projects, from discovery to impact measurement
- Present proposals and progress updates to senior stakeholders
- Lead design and development of AI workflows and tools, including LLMs and ML models
- Collaborate with the Enterprise AI team on platforms, tooling, and governance
- Advise business teams on AI applications and drive adoption
- Build data pipelines and transformations using SQL, Python, and REST APIs
- Deliver production-ready solutions with controls, auditability, and human oversight
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or automation
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, such as LLM APIs and agent frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and API development
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks
- Strong knowledge of financial derivatives, products, and capital markets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Benefits:
- Estimated base salary range: $160,000 to $250,000
