As a General Merchandise Expert, you will be responsible for creating an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience. Your day-to-day tasks will include greeting guests, helping them find what they need, and resolving any issues that may arise. You will also be expected to actively support team efforts, assist peers in other areas, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
Responsibilities:

- Greet guests, help them find what they need, and resolve any issues that may arise
- Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas
- Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve business priorities
- Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified
- Learn and execute operational procedures such as setting and organising merchandise, managing product accuracy and stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas
- Follow all Target policies and safety procedures, and report and correct hazards
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfilment processes
Requirements:
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
