Description
As a Concierge Officer at Peabody, you will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and contractors at one of our flagship mixed-tenure developments in London Borough of Wandsworth.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming residents, visitors, and contractors, providing a friendly and professional front-of-house service
- Managing resident enquiries in person, by phone, and via email, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and professionally
- Processing deliveries and parcels, maintaining accurate records and notifying residents promptly
- Programming and issuing access control fobs, processing resident payments, and managing key control procedures
- Conducting regular patrols of the development, identifying and reporting maintenance, cleaning, security, and health & safety concerns
- Monitoring CCTV systems and responding appropriately to incidents or suspicious activity
- Supporting fire safety, emergency procedures, and building security measures
- Maintaining accurate records, providing detailed handovers between shifts, and completing administrative tasks such as logging repairs and incidents
- Building positive relationships with residents, colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a concierge, front-of-house, reception, customer service, or similar resident-facing role
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to take ownership of issues
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous when dealing with challenging situations
- Flexibility to work weekends, shift patterns, and provide additional cover when required
We offer a salary of GBP 28,372 per year.
