The Platform Identity team at Cisco is responsible for building a secure and unified identity foundation that powers access across the entire Splunk and Cisco ecosystem.
As the Leader of Software Engineering for Platform Identity, you will lead a team of talented engineers in building the next generation of identity services that underpin Splunk and Cisco products. You will define and execute the team’s technical strategy, drive architectural direction, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and highly available identity solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of engineers in building identity services
- Defining and executing the team’s technical strategy
- Driving architectural direction
- Ensuring delivery of secure, scalable, and highly available identity solutions
- Mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity
- Partnering with product, architecture, and executive stakeholders to prioritize work and remove blockers
Minimum qualifications:
- Significant professional experience in software engineering leadership
- Proven track record of driving technical strategy and delivering large-scale engineering initiatives
- Experience leading agile development teams and managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading teams that have successfully applied AI/ML within platform, identity, or security products
- Background in large-scale platform integration or migration programs, particularly in the IAM space
- Familiarity with IAM offerings from major cloud providers
- Deep technical expertise in identity and access management (IAM)
- Experience leading geographically distributed teams
