WSP is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President, Electrical Engineer for our Jacksonville, FL office location to help grow our Property & Buildings office. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed Electrical Engineer with extensive healthcare design experience in Florida. The ideal candidate will have both technical leadership and business development experience to help grow our Property and Buildings business in Jacksonville.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, review and approve electrical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Apply high-level electrical engineering techniques to identify improvements for various project phases.
- Plan and incorporate future-ready techniques, concept development, and design requirements.
- Manage design and construction of electrical systems from project inception to completion.
- Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, budgets, hours, expenses, task completion, and technical calculations.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations.
- Manage client relationships and provide key technical input on pursuit efforts.
- Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer.
- Professional Engineering license required.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical design, particularly in the healthcare industry.
- Proficient with electrical engineering principles, practices, and processes.
- Experience with electrical planning, design, and construction management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Engineering.
- LEED AP Certification.
- Previous Healthcare or Laboratory design experience.
- Project Management experience.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training.
