Description
We are seeking an engineer to join our team in building the Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure Automation platform for Visa. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to create impact at scale, tackling meaningful challenges and growing your skills.
You will design, develop, and maintain scalable, distributed, multi-threaded applications, using modern technologies including Kubernetes, Terraform, and Temporal-based workflow orchestration. You will work in a rapidly iterative environment where we prototype new user interfaces and services and ship code frequently.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, distributed, multi-threaded applications
- Write high-quality, testable, production-ready code
- Apply Generative AI and agentic patterns to build self-service and self-healing automation capabilities within the platform
- Showcase excellent debugging and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with team members and participate in design reviews, development, and code reviews
- Align with direction from Management, Technology, and Business partners to deliver robust, usable solutions that meet functional requirements
- Create documentation and procedures for development, deployment, and maintenance
- Deliver all assigned responsibilities on time and with a high level of quality
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts
- Experience building REST-based web services and web applications using Java and Spring Framework
- Understanding of Generative AI technologies and agentic frameworks, and the ability to think creatively about applying them to improve and automate within the payment technology space

Salary: $110,700.00 to $171,800.00 USD per year
