The Supply Chain Engineer supports Standard Nuclear's manufacturing and engineering organizations by translating technical requirements into executable sourcing, material planning, and logistics strategies.
Responsibilities
- Engineering Requirements & Technical Sourcing: Review engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and technical requirements to determine sourcing needs. Identify, evaluate, and source vendors, components, materials, and equipment that meet technical, quality, schedule, and commercial requirements.
- BOM & Material Planning: Develop, maintain, and improve bills of materials (BOMs), item data, sourcing status, and material requirements supporting production and engineering programs.
- Cost & Lead Time Optimization: Drive cost reduction and lead-time improvement opportunities across the bill of materials without compromising technical or quality requirements.
- Supply Risk & Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve supply issues including vendor delays, logistics constraints, material shortages, quality concerns, and changing engineering requirements.
- Logistics & Cross-Functional Coordination: Establish and optimize logistics processes across domestic and international supply chains as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in supply chain, technical sourcing, procurement, supplier management, material planning, manufacturing engineering, or related work.
