Description
This Analyst role is part of the APAC Relationship Management team at Ares, supporting investor relations, client servicing, and investor operations across institutional clients and prospects in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior Relationship Managers to engage clients, manage CRM, report to investors, conduct due diligence, and coordinate internally to support fundraising and deliver high-quality client experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the APAC Relationship Management team
- Tracking meetings with investors and prospects, updating Salesforce records, and managing organisational tasks
- Participating in client meetings and tracking investor feedback across Ares strategies and funds
- Interacting with investment professionals and product managers to stay informed about portfolio developments, fund performance, and fundraising initiatives
- Assisting senior Relationship Managers with client coverage, responding to investor inquiries, and coordinating data requests
- Maintaining and updating client and prospect databases
- Supporting investor due diligence processes
- Conducting market and competitive research
- Assisting with client reporting and investor communications
- Initially focusing on investor operations and client servicing, with opportunities to develop into a junior Relationship Manager role
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in asset management, private markets, investor relations, institutional client servicing, investment banking, or a related financial services environment
- Knowledge of alternative investment products and services, corporate finance, or accounting
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably Salesforce or CRM experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive problem-solving approach and solutions-oriented mindset
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic
- High organisational skills, prioritisation abilities, and attention to detail
- An interest in developing a long-term career in investor relations and institutional relationship management
