Description
We are seeking an Operations Engineer to join our Linux team at Vattenfall IT. As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and alarm handling of infrastructure platforms, as well as driving development within your area.
Your main tasks will include:
- Linux server operations
- Efficient and automated work processes and systems
- Monitoring and alarm handling of infrastructure platforms
- Patching and system updates
- 3rd line troubleshooting for infrastructure issues
- Working on projects for new technical solutions
- Lifecycle management and planning of IT infrastructure
As an Operations Engineer, you will have a varied role with broad areas of responsibility in a delivery that covers everything from Linux servers, 3rd line support, and system updates. You will collaborate with multiple hardware manufacturers in our environments, which provides dynamic development together with our suppliers.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in various exciting projects locally and internationally, which offers great opportunities for development. As an Operations Engineer, you will be part of a team, but we also expect you to have the ability to work independently with external suppliers as well as colleagues around Sweden and Europe.

Requirements:

Preferred qualifications:
- Larger competence or certification in one or more areas, such as virtualization platforms, data storage and backup, Windows server, network (switching/firewall/routing), knowledge of IT-related processes and frameworks such as ITIL
