Description
We are seeking a Product Developer to join our team. As a Product Developer, you will be responsible for performing key product development activities to ensure adherence to the global inline and speed calendar, elevated and premium products quality and execution, and reasonable pricing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform key product development activities to ensure adherence to global inline and speed calendar, elevated and premium products quality and execution, and reasonable pricing
- Build up team capabilities in terms of communication, product knowledge, and operating system to perform given responsibilities
- Develop mutual understanding and partnership with suppliers to develop their capabilities in line with PUMA brand requirements
- Communicate with product creation team and suppliers on problems regarding sample development and future bulk production
- Coordinate and monitor all activities regarding development, approval, and communication of products related stakeholders
- Ensure on-time product finalization and approval prior to bulk order placement
- Drive proactive cross-functional communication with internal and external stakeholders to achieve efficient and effective product development process
- Manage and execute time and action plans and ensure on-time delivery of samples in good execution, quality, and fit
- Develop assigned styles in cooperation with designers, internal teams, and suppliers
- Work closely with team and lead as a leader to bring out expected company results
- Responsible for cost review and negotiation to achieve required prices and profit margins
- Assist in working out strategic plan on Costing Project
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years working experience in garment, with strong knowledge in apparel product development and materials, preferably in the sportswear industry
- Highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, focus on details, and proactive problem-solving ability
- Proven leadership and experience in working with global and multicultural stakeholders
- Proactive and agile, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, embrace different perspectives to drive alignment
- Strong presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and gain stakeholder buy-in
- Able to work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team on assigned tasks
