Spire St Anthony's Hospital in Sutton is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Estates and Engineering function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing five heritage buildings, ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across the hospital site.
The Engineering Manager will lead the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant engineering services, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, and manage a skilled team of site engineers and handymen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or building services, proven project management experience, and a passion for leading teams in a healthcare setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant engineering services
- Ensuring best practice and consistency in all aspects of engineering and estates management
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance
- Managing and developing a skilled team of site engineers and handymen
- Ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements
- Acting as the hospital's Approved Person for key systems
The successful candidate will have:
- A relevant background in electrical, plumbing, or building services engineering
- Previous experience of working within a hospital or healthcare environment
- Strong management experience
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
