Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Senior Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Marysville, Ohio. The successful candidate will design manual manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring they match planned factory characteristics for startup timing and meet project and business plan targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confirm manufacturing process impact through Design Development timing and complete process and manpower studies
- Use M.O.S.T. to develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas and apply Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Maintain and update manpower status and impact for factory and report for evaluation timings
- Perform time estimates for line work, equipment loads, and develop Operation Standards
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency
- Correlate and communicate development plans to MMC process members to ensure T-stage readiness
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury
- Support New Model Events and forecast design impact to department
- Develop Plans and Schedules for projects and hold meetings with cross-functional engineering groups
- Project support for all items impacting Paint department's Associate Process
- Collect feedback from MMC organization and production floor to address concerns
- Create charts and presentations to report status and plans for key department metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Engineering Technology) or equivalent related experience
- 2+ years of experience
- MS Office, standard time evaluations, workstation design, Catia, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Honda Issue Management systems (IMS, CRF), customer service
