Description
GSK is seeking a Product Owner to own the backlog and roadmap for its wireless and local area network product. The successful candidate will translate business needs into requirements that engineering teams can deliver without repeated clarification, measure adoption and outcome rather than output, and balance new capability against the reliability bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and prioritise the product backlog by value, risk and reliability
- Link every backlog item explicitly to GSK D&T strategy and domain OKRs
- Translate consumer needs and business outcomes into clear requirements and user stories
- Work daily with the engineering team through refinement, planning and review
- Balance new capability against the reliability bar
- Use AI tooling to accelerate discovery, backlog refinement and requirement drafting
- Measure product adoption, self-service uptake and value delivered
- Steer delivery with flow metrics such as throughput, cycle time and work in progress
- Manage consumer demand and stakeholder expectations
- Manage supplier-delivered components within the product
- Contribute the product view into the domain roadmap
- Hold the boundaries with the Platform Manager, Platform Architect and Reliability Engineering
Professional Qualifications
- Degree in a technology, engineering or business discipline
- Agile or product certifications desirable

- Product ownership in a platform or agile environment
- Outcome measurement
Experience Required
- Overall 15 years and typically 5 or more years in product ownership or product management
- Practical experience of lean or agile backlog management
- Track record of translating business needs into requirements
- Experience working to OKRs and measuring adoption or value delivered
- Experience steering with flow metrics and acting on delivery predictability data
- Experience managing stakeholders and declining requests
- Exposure to AI tooling used for discovery, backlog refinement or requirement drafting
- Experience delivering local area network or wireless capabilities as a Product Owner
Desirable Requirements
- Product Owner qualification
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Juniper EX or Juniper Mist
- Experience with network assurance, Internet of Things or operational technology connectivity
