Physical Therapist Assistant, Outpatient

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation team at Lexington Medical Center.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a crucial role in carrying out physical therapy programs as planned and directed by physical therapists. Your responsibilities will include:

• Training patients in exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living
• Collecting clinical assessment scores, radiographic scores, and health-related quality of life information
• Performing tests and evaluations in clinical or research settings
• Maintaining supplies and equipment
• Assisting with research protocol and treatment development
• Participating in staff meetings, forums, committees, and in-service training activities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A two-year college program for Physical Therapy Assistants approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)
• Current licensure in the state where you will practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• CPR certification every two years
