Description
Ajax Systems, a global technology company and Europe's largest security system manufacturer, is seeking a new team member as a C++ Embedded Engineer for its Video team.
The team develops embedded C++ software for Video Edge devices, including NVRs and cameras. The scope of work involves integration with various components, from vendor SDKs and multimedia pipelines to network protocols and system UI.
Current tasks include integrating AI analytics for object detection and tracking, developing cloud archives and video streaming, and supporting new platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain embedded C++ software for Video Edge devices
- Integrate AI analytics, cloud archives, and video streaming
- Support new platforms and features
Requirements:
- 4+ years of C++ experience (C++11/C++14)
- Experience with Boost, particularly boost.asio
- Understanding of process, thread, and asynchronous processing principles
- Familiarity with git, cmake, and gdb
- Practical experience designing and developing large systems
Nice to have:
- Experience with embedded systems and resource-constrained systems
- Knowledge of Linux/Posix-compatible systems, bash, and Linux kernel principles
- Experience with video streaming and RTP/RTCP protocol stack
- Familiarity with open-source libraries like ffmpeg and OpenCV
