Description
We are seeking a Specialist, Production – Business Insurance (Programs) to support the growth and management of our business insurance portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and selecting risks in property and liability insurance. You will actively contribute to portfolio development by building strong relationships with brokers, managing renewals, identifying new business opportunities, and leveraging your technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and select business by identifying client needs and risk characteristics.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret trends and recommendations.
- Conduct technical reviews of accounts under your responsibility.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the quality and profitability of the business insurance portfolio.
- Identify potential issues in loss ratios and emerging trends.
- Master systems, tools, and software related to underwriting.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, news, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underwriting or production in business insurance.
- French language proficiency required.
- Intermediate-advanced English language proficiency.
- Solid expertise in risk analysis and selection, pricing, and commercial insurance portfolio management.
- Experience in analyzing and underwriting risks in various sectors, including construction, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, professional associations, and non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles, insurance contracts, specialized programs, and pricing methodologies.
- Understanding of related functions, including claims, risk management, and insurance financial aspects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with program management technology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain partnerships with brokers and clients.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

- Ability to understand distribution partner needs and propose tailored solutions in a constantly evolving commercial programs environment.
