Description
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at 3M, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with innovative people around the world and make an impact by providing engineering leadership to the Aberdeen plant, utilizing technical skills to evaluate project scope and equipment specifications, leading continuous improvement projects, and supporting site resources with process improvements.
The role involves:
- Providing engineering leadership to the Aberdeen plant and establishing a network of resources and contacts to meet business goals and customer needs
- Utilizing technical skills to compile and review information to evaluate project scope, equipment specifications, and other project requirements
- Leading and participating in continuous improvement projects focused on process, product, and quality system improvements
- Utilizing project management skills to organize and execute projects
- Supporting site and focus factory resources with process improvements
- Driving understanding of key customer needs and monitoring process capabilities
- Reporting project implementation, cost, and status to the appropriate person
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering discipline
- Additional qualifications that could be helpful include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, prior experience working within a manufacturing and/or process engineering environment, experience working with cross-functional teams, and demonstrated strength in engineering/technical skills
