Analyst

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Central Research Team. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and recommending investment ideas that meet the investment objectives of our Portfolio Manager teams.

You will have in-depth experience in one of the key subsectors in China Industrials/machinery/robotics/materials, and additional breadth of coverage or pan-Asia coverage is a plus.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing recommendations via written or oral summaries to our Portfolio Managers
• Building and maintaining earnings models and informational databases such as valuation and comparative analyses
• Drawing upon a wide array of information sources to suggest differentiated investment ideas and insights
• Attending conferences, tours, and company visits and providing concise feedback to the team
• Traveling for work as needed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Experience in securities analysis (either buy- or sell-side) of at least 5 years, preferably in a relevant sector
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Strong analytical and written communications skills
• Motivation, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
