Specialty Sales Team Leader

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $21.50 - $23.50, with a full pay range of $21.50 - $36.55 per hour.

As a Specialty Sales Team Leader at Target, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving sales growth. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading a team of hourly team members, including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent
• Prioritising guest experience by ensuring the sales floor is organised, and product is available and easy to shop
• Analysing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
• Demonstrating a service culture that prioritises the guest service experience
• Planning daily and weekly workloads to support business priorities and deliver sales goals
• Leading and demonstrating a culture of executing all best practices
• With direct leader guidance, developing, coaching, and leading a team of consultants who are knowledgeable and passionate
• Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns
• Encouraging team members to use available tools to provide personalised recommendations to guests
• Supporting team execution of changes and updates to merchandise sets and visual presentations
• Creating inspiring visual moments by ensuring product is organised and merchandised to support seasonal trends
• Participating in team hiring and onboarding processes
• Leading your team in prioritising the guest experience
• Supporting your direct leader in establishing clear goals and expectations
• Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Leading and demonstrating a safety culture
• Modelling the execution of physical security processes
• Supporting merchandise protection strategies
• Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty responsibilities
• Addressing all store emergency and compliance needs
• Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to lead and hold others accountable
• Effective communication skills
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
• Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
• Interpret instructions, reports, and information
