Description
As a Technical Specialist at Pfizer, you will be responsible for providing basic husbandry, handling, restraint, and health surveillance of laboratory animals in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Your primary duties will include:
- Performing routine animal husbandry duties
- Observing and reporting the status of animal health, food and water consumption, appearance, and behavior
- Providing support in basic veterinary medical treatment as prescribed by the veterinary staff
- Supporting cage wash equipment operations and maintenance
- Supporting research by providing basic technical services to research investigators
- Training and mentoring new hires in animal husbandry and facility support duties
You will be required to work with all species housed at the site and may be required to work under various regulatory standards, including the US Department of Agriculture Animal Welfare Act and associated Regulations and Standards.
The salary for this position ranges from $29.83 to $49.72 per hour, and you will be eligible for overtime, weekend, holiday, and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
