Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at The Chiltern Hospital in Great Missenden and The Shelburne Hospital in High Wycombe. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, with a salary of up to £19.00 per hour depending on experience, training, and qualifications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols, assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and updating care plans accordingly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols
- Assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and updating care plans accordingly
- Monitoring vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and escalating appropriately using clinical judgment
- Administering medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code
- Maintaining accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation
- Ensuring that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies
- Identifying and reporting incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
- Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting
- Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning
- Previous experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care)
