Description
Join WSP's Roads, Aviation and Civil Team as a Civil Technician to provide CAD support to engineering projects.
You will assist in setting up projects by agreeing on drawing strategies, types, and sizes of drawings, and drawing numbering with the project lead. You will also suggest methods of drawing production to ensure efficient working methods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing general arrangement drawings from engineer's sketches and other design team member drawings and details
- Ensuring clarity, completeness, and accuracy of drawings and presentation materials
- Adhering to prescribed drafting standards and procedures
- Following QA, document control, archiving, and CDM guidelines
- Collaborating with project team members on specified aspects of the project
- Performing tasks assigned by senior leads
Requirements:
- Graduate of any technical course or at least three years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture
- 3-7 years of relevant civil drafting experience
- Experience working on several sized projects as CAD support and as part of a wider CAD team
- Knowledge of drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise
- Proficiency in Civil 3D an advantage
- Experience on Australian projects preferred
