Description
We are seeking an innovative, experienced television anchor to develop newscasts for TEGNA's OTT/CTV streaming platforms. As a Streaming Anchor, you will anchor multiple hours of livestreamed newscasts daily, book experts for breaking news stories, generate unique story ideas, and take a leadership role in content and production.
Responsibilities:
- Anchor multiple hours of livestreamed newscasts daily
- Book experts to respond to breaking and developing news stories
- Generate unique and compelling stories and streaming show ideas
- Take a leadership role in content and production
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, photojournalists, managers, and other TEGNA team members
- Edit video specials and content for VOD purposes
- Explore new ideas and challenge traditional ways of doing things
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of reporting and anchoring experience
- Confident and approachable on-camera delivery with excellent ad-lib skills
- Strong leadership qualities with prior experience motivating and engaging team members
- Sound news judgment and a proven track record of recognizing enterprise content
- Experience with vMix, Cuez, and desktop video editing software such as Edius and/or Adobe Premiere
- Ability to work 100% in-person in Charlotte, North Carolina
