Description
We are seeking a Senior Seat Structures Engineer / CVE to join our Commercial Modifications Team in Hamburg, Germany.
As a CVE / Senior Seat Part 21J Structures Engineer, you will lead major and minor design activities for aircraft seating and cabin interior products, managing associated certification activities in accordance with EASA Part 21J requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead design activities for aircraft seating and cabin interior products
- Act as technical focal point for certification, structural substantiation, and stress-related issues
- Compile and review structural substantiation documents
- Prepare STC data packages to demonstrate compliance
- Collaborate with Boeing teams and other stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Stress, Structures, Mechanical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in commercial aircraft design within an EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organisation
- Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for Structures
- Demonstrated experience with certification under EASA Part 21J
- Experience in seat development and certification
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of EASA airworthiness regulations and applicable requirements
- Strong attention to detail, with extensive experience in aircraft interiors, seats, and primary structures
- Proven experience leading complex projects and influencing team members and stakeholders
- Solid expertise with engineering tools including ENOVIA, CATIA V5/V6, Altair HyperWorks, and PATRAN/NASTRAN
