Description
As a registered mental health nurse at Ashness House, you will join a skilled and supportive team who work with care, calm, and purpose. You will guide recovery-focused plans for a small group of patients and help shape a safe and therapeutic ward. The role is hands-on and varied, with daily chances to use your clinical judgement and build strong working relationships.
You will support patients through their recovery plans, help maintain a safe ward space, and work closely with the wider team to keep care steady and person-centred. You will take part in daily clinical work, coordinate shifts when needed, and help junior staff grow in confidence. You will play a key part in keeping standards high through clear communication, good record keeping, and a calm approach to risk and change.
Ashness House is a specialist mental health hospital with a steady, warm, and professional team culture. Staff work side by side with respect and shared purpose, and the atmosphere is calm, supportive, and focused on patient wellbeing. We value good communication, strong teamwork, and a thoughtful approach to care. You will join a service that offers supervision, training, and real chances to grow, and where your work and your voice are genuinely valued.
The role includes shift coordination, support for junior staff, and active involvement in training and supervision. It is a hands-on role for nurses who want to deliver thoughtful, person-centred care and be part of a steady, supportive, and professional team.
