As a Manager, Data Scientist in the Travel Intelligence team at Capital One, you will lead the technical strategy for Search & Sort and Pricing Optimization in the Hotels domain.
The Travel Intelligence team builds the intelligent core of Capital One Travel, transforming vast amounts of travel data into personalized experiences for customers.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-loved products
- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to analyze huge volumes of data
- Build machine learning models through all phases of development
- Translate complex work into tangible business goals
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, creative, technical, and a data guru.
Basic qualifications include a quantitative field degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) with relevant experience in data analytics, open-source programming, machine learning, and relational databases.
Preferred qualifications include a PhD in a STEM field, experience with AWS, and advanced proficiency in Python, Scala, or R.
This role comes with a competitive salary ($197,300 - $225,100 for McLean, VA, and $215,200 - $245,600 for New York, NY), performance-based incentives, and comprehensive benefits.
