WSP is seeking a full-time Specialist, Technical Engineering Support to join their team in Herndon, VA.
The successful candidate will provide technical design and CADD support on projects, producing designs and specifications for planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services business lines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting, compiling, and analysing data to support drafting and design activities
- Using 3D computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software to generate designs and drawings
- Providing technical design assistance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards
- Verifying calculations, design changes, and interpreting contract plans and specifications
- Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to execute project work
- Preparing multiple versions of designs for review by engineers
- Ensuring specifications comply with contract requirements and regulations
The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma
- Knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, and techniques
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and compliance practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with technical writing, office automation, and software tools

The expected hourly rate for this position is $37.12 - $53.08.
