Description
Leidos has a new opportunity for a Senior Java Software Engineer in their Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). The team focuses on Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations, Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence, and Cryptographic Key Management.
The role involves joining an Agile development team to enhance and modernize a mission-critical enterprise application. You will help evolve a high-performance Java platform that processes large volumes of operational data while transitioning to a modern, containerized architecture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot
- Developing scalable RESTful APIs and backend services
- Optimizing relational databases using MariaDB and other technologies
- Supporting application modernization through containerization and Kubernetes deployments
- Participating in technical design sessions, code reviews, and Agile software development activities
- Developing automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of twelve years of software engineering experience
- Experience with Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot
- Experience with RESTful APIs and relational databases
- Experience with container technologies and Kubernetes
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
Preferred qualifications include experience with Angular, microservices architecture, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps best practices.
The position offers a salary range of $131,300.00 - $237,350.00 and is eligible for a $25k sign-on bonus.
