Description
WSP India is seeking a Senior BIM Technician to join the Bridges team in Bengaluru. The role involves working with the BIM team for WSP GCC Sweden to produce detailed structural drawings using Tekla Structures – Concrete, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation.
The successful candidate will lead the preparation of engineering drawings using WSP CAD/BIM standards and templates, agree on priorities and deadlines with the Sweden team, and ensure timely delivery. They will also align work with quality requirements, maintain document control, proactively raise queries, identify necessary inputs from others, and follow up.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing structural detailed and concept design drawings for bridges and construction types primarily in Sweden
- Implementing and enforcing BIM and CAD standards
- Creating and maintaining software template files to ensure standards
- Automating routines to support standards and productivity
- Providing quality control for drawings produced
- Assisting in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
- Maximizing utilization on projects
- Creating Tekla Structures auto and customized connections/templates
- Agreeing on priorities and deadlines with the Project Engineer and Sweden team
The role requires cultural awareness, excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Essential skills include 3D reinforcement experience in Tekla Structures - Concrete and knowledge of Revit Software.
